The first website launched by McDonalds was far from innovative, as were all sites back in 1996. Computer monitors were still at a fairly low resolution, so to compensate, the main content was always placed to the left along with navigation. Like many sites in the late 90‘s, users were forced to click through 2 entry pages in order to get to “the guts” of the content. The brand colors of yellow on red lit up the screen and were far from legible. The site encompassed a majority of weaknesses that would be fixed and shape up to make the website what it is today.
