As web and graphic designers we often need to fill our mock-ups with dummy text such as Lorem Ipsum. Now, I don’t know about you, but I have seen just about as much Lorem Ipsum text as I can handle. Don’t get me wrong, Lorem Ipsum text is great and it has served me well over the years. But once you get to the stage that you can speak “Lipsum”, it’s time for a change. Luckily there are quite a few alternatives to Lorem Ipsum dummy text and I will go through them in this post. So if you’re looking for a bit of a change then check out these dummy text generators.

That’s actually a lot cooler than what would appear on the surface, haha. I actually JUST started using filler text, and Lorem Ipsum gets extremely annoying to see.
Haha! Well Lorem Ipsum is the industry standard but if you think you can get away with using an alternative then give it a go just for fun. 🙂

The funny thing about this kind of filler text is that I have had clients in the past not realize that it was actually filler text. They would be like: “Hey Chris…the text on the about page is in a different language. Can you translate this to English?”
